Archiving Policy

Journal of Contemporary Economic Dynamics (JCED) is committed to the long-term digital preservation and permanent accessibility of all scholarly content published in the journal. To ensure continuous access and safeguard against data loss, JCED utilizes multiple digital archiving and self-archiving preservation frameworks.

1. Digital Preservation Systems

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): JCED utilizes the PKP Preservation Network to digitally preserve all published articles via the LOCKSS system, providing a decentralized and permanent archiving solution.
  • LOCKSS & CLOCKSS: The journal supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS systems to ensure a distributed and secure long-term digital repository.
  • National Archiving: Published issues and metadata are archived in national scientific portals and the Indonesian National Library (Perpusnas / Onesearch / Garuda) for long-term national indexing and preservation.
  • Publisher Internal Server Backup: SM Institute maintains routine off-site database backups and cloud storage redundancy to guarantee data recovery in any unforeseen circumstances.

2. Author Self-Archiving (Repository Policy)

In accordance with open-access principles and Sherpa Romeo guidelines, authors are fully permitted and encouraged to self-archive their work in institutional, non-commercial repositories or academic databases (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, SSRN) under the following conditions:

  • Preprint (Submitted Version): Authors may archive the preprint version before peer review with a note stating it has been submitted to JCED.
  • Postprint (Accepted Version): Authors may archive the accepted peer-reviewed manuscript upon acceptance.
  • Published PDF (Version of Record): Authors are encouraged to deposit the final publisher’s version (PDF) immediately upon publication, provided that an acknowledgement of original publication in JCED and the official DOI link are explicitly included.
